They might sound like similar things, but theyre actually not. The Bible says, Fearing people is a dangerous trap (Proverbs 29:25 NLT). Always being worried about what other people think about you, and trying to please them in case they secretly hate you - that comes from fearing people. If you find yourself unable to say no, even when your friends are exploiting you that comes from fearing people. If you find yourself being way too loyal or reliant on a boyfriend or girlfriend just to get some validation that comes from fearing people. If youre always wanting to get a laugh because youre worried people dont like you yes, that too comes from fearing people. Confidence in Gods love for you will lift you above all the miserable anxiety that comes with fearing people
