They say good things come in small packages, yet in many - TopicsExpress

They say good things come in small packages, yet in many circumstances, the gift appearing as such, can sometimes in all actuality be a negative that is intoxicating in the beginning and fun or exciting and by the time the physiological effects of this newness wears off, we are in over our heads, and shaking ourselves and dusting ourselves off asking what just happened and how did I get here? A wise friend of mine once told me that people will tell you who and what they are usually within the first 5 minutes of meeting them. It is up to us to be keenly aware through active listening to discern these truths they share with us. Then we are able to make a concious decision as to whether we elect to continue having these peoples fun in our lives. It has been my experience that I am whom I hang around with for the most part and I am learning to be somewhat more discriminitive in who and what energy field I want to be in proximity of....it seems to be a more healthy approach in mindfulness for me and has been instrumental in my harnessing and channelling my own energy....some people have a calming effect on me and perhaps facilitate centering and/or grounding, yet others tend to zap or drain my energy.
