They say that love is blind and unfortunately STEVIE came into our care as a rescue case with virtually no vision - but he has so much love to give to the lucky family who will become his new owner. Stevie was surrendered from appalling living conditions where he had been for several years. We think Stevie is aged five to six, although it is difficult to tell as his teeth arent in great condition due to his previous neglect. Stevie is a wire haired terrier male who will need a special home as the vet diagnosed him as blind (we think he may have some very limited vision). Despite his lack of sight and previous neglect, Stevie is a remarkably happy, friendly and cheerful little dog. He has loved bounding around our fields and seems perfectly content with life. he thoroughly enjoyed his outing to the Whitewater shopping centre where we were collecting last weekend and behaved impeccably while being stroked and patted by hundreds of people, including lots of kids. He clearly has a very well developed sense of smell and negotiates himself around incredibly well. We would ideally like to re-home him with another dog to provide stability and company for him. If anyone thinks they could offer a forever home to Stevie, who so deserves to be loved after what he has been through, or if you would like more information about him, then please private message us through our Facebook page, call/text 087 6887136 or email KWWSPCA@gmail. Or come to visit him at our KWWSPCA shelter in Athgarvan (open every day apart from Sunday to visitors from 2.00pm to 4.00pm) and see for yourself what a wonderful boy he is!
