They say that timing is everything and I now know that is correct. Ive been working on a book dealing with depression, something that I have witnessed but never really experienced... until now. Our line of income abruptly stopped in early August and it is amazing (to me anyway) the changes that have occurred. Ive lost 65 pounds, a good thing I guess, Im just not crazy about how it happened. Ive lost about the same number of friends. The only people I hear from now are A) desperate for attention (a group of one actually) or B) those who think I am just holding back on them and if they bother me enough, I will give them the hundreds of dollars they want. (a group of about ten.) It is hard enough to suddenly become not only broke and poor, but homeless and desperate without losing your friends as well. We will overcome this situation... trust me on this and I will remember those who chose to forget me. I have three people who have remained close despite the fact I can do nothing for them... at this point in time. Ive not asked for them to help me, just keep a line of communication open. I realize that life is particularly difficult right now but ten words in an e-mail wouldnt bankrupt anyone. Ive redeveloped a heart infection, something that happens every year or so and was running a fever of 104.2. Its down now and the meds are slowly winning the war but I am very weak and susceptible to every little thing that comes along. Thanks for listening to me rant. Its the fever. Ill get over it soon enough.
