They say time flies when youre having fun. Well isnt that the truth?!? Seems like just yesterday I was a stubborn, single mother who would NOT date until my baby was at least a year old. I was also EMT who knew about those fireman and would NEVER date one. I was also smart enough to know that younger guys were immature so I would NOT even hang out with a man who wasnt 3-5 years older...... Then one night when I couldnt sleep and that baby I mentioned was simply 3 weeks old, I saw this cute Meridian fireman on Facebook. I thought it couldnt hurt to be his friend, Im sure I had seen him around on calls. I glanced through his profile and thought hes so handsome but hes just a baby, and he is a fireman, and Kennedy is too young for this....After 10 minutes of chatting on Facebook I knew there was something much different about this man. 3 days later he pulled up in my driveway, took me and a screaming 3 week old baby on the best date of my life. THAT NIGHT we knew it was meant to be. We talked about marriage in between the diaper changes and projectile spit up. Everyone, I mean everyone, thought we were nuts. Within the first year of knowing this man I not only broke 3 of my rules, but I got engaged, planned a wedding, married him and Kennedy Hodges became Kennedy Pogue! ;) The rest is history! Jeremy Scott Pogue has taught me so many things, starting with never say never ;) He is the most patient and kind human there is. Even on my bad days hes caring and loving. When I dont deserve respect, he gives it to me anyway. When I dont deserve kind words, he says them anyway. When I am at my wits end with the kids, he tells me to go breathe and he makes them giggle. I cant imagine walking through this life without you by my side!!!! Happy Anniversary sweetheart! I cant wait to spend 100 more together!
