They should first apologize to the Iranian nation for this stupid adventure, which had no conceivable use for Iran, but skewed the political debate there and put the most irresponsible and ignorant elements in power, was used to smash any intelligent thought in civil society, and costing the Iranian nation billions of dollars because the negotiators, after succeeding in their objective in punishing Carter, then realized that it had put Ronald Reagan in power, someone who would not hesitate to turn Iran into a radioactive parking lot, and hastily concluded a criminal deal in which the Khatt-e Imamis gave away billions of dollars to their so-called enemy, American imperialism.
