They spend about eight hours in school, five days a week. Some wake up at dawn just to make it to school on time. After school, there are homework and projects and tests and, for some, after-class club meetings. On weekends, there is soccer practice, martial arts class, piano or violin lessons, the obligatory Sunday lunch with the whole clan, and more homework and studying to prepare for the coming week.
