They were the golden girls of the TV screen in the 80s, from the west Lagos we had new village headmaster, adio family, winds against my soul, for better for worse, from mid west we saw hotel d Jordan, from the north cock crow at dawn, behind the clouds and the east new masquerade, Icheokwu amongst several others and so today I celebrate one of my close friends, sister and confidant. A loyal, reliable and committed lady who you can call one of the few passionate thespians, from her days at st Maria Gorretti in Benin to the university of Jos where she studied theater arts and to her sterling career that has seen her on stage, TV and Film. You will recall her outstanding role as EFE, Nosa (Mac Authur Fom) in the 80s soap opera behind the clouds to her performance in several other productions before she left for the US in the late 90s and her return in 2013 to serve as an SA to the honorable Minister of culture and tourism. This ageless beauty in my words personifies selflessness. I can count how many times she flew in from US to attend the annual abuja film festival where her shirt film won in one of years. So the ageless Mrs Evelyn Ikuonobe Otaigbe my sister and personal person happy birthday to you.
