They woke us up bright and early to start the stem cell harvest. You can see tubes coming out of her groin area - one sucks the blood into the machine where it goes all around and separates the stem cells. They are in the top right bag, the darker looking one. Then the other tube puts the blood back into her body. This will take until 2:30 this afternoon. If we are lucky they will get enough today, but we will likely be back tomorrow for more collection.
