They would start their concerts exclaiming SOUTH! WEST! FREE ON BOARD, then launch into their sets. From my home town of Dallas, The Southwest F.O.B. never made it big, but they did record a remake of Smell of Incense, from (get ready..) The West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band. Their bandmembers were mentors for my little brothers band, The Night Before, and there were flow charts to Seals and Crofts and England Dan & John Ford Coley.
