They’re burying you today, Dad. For years, I would flinch - TopicsExpress

They’re burying you today, Dad. For years, I would flinch *every* time I stood at a kitchen sink and a man walked into the room. You trained me well, all those years of punching me in the head while I had my back to you. No visible bruises that way, right? I don’t flinch anymore, Dad. I’m not scared anymore. You told me I was worthless and that I’d always be worthless. I know now that’s not true. You were a good teacher for me, Dad, in a weird and demented sort of way. I’m sorry that you went to your grave hating my guts, but I don’t take it personally. Hurt people hurt people. I get that now. Safe voyage to you on your next big adventure, Dad. Maybe the next go around will bring you a little peace. https://youtube/watch?v=7S94ohyErSw
