Thgis video is unlisted HOWEVER this is where Robert Plants stunning video for new ballad, ‘Rainbow’ Led Zeppelin front man and rock icon Robert Plant has just released a new solo album, lullaby and… The Ceaseless Roar, and with it comes a striking video for the first single, Rainbow. The ballad, which borrows lyrics from the William Morris poem Love is Enough, is a lyrical song that features U2-style soaring melodies, as well as Plants unmistakable vocals.? So far, the album is getting rave reviews, with the New York Times saying that Plant sings in an otherworldly voice: sustained, androgynous, balanced between serenity and ache. The album begins with very different versions of Little Maggie, an old-timey Appalachian song about unrequited love and separation... In between are songs by Mr. Plant that ponder earthly and transcendent love. Q and Mojo gave it four stars, and Uncut gave it 9 out of 10.? “It’s really a celebratory record, powerful, gritty, African, Trance meets Zep,” Plant says on his website. “I have been around awhile and I ask myself, do I have anything to say? Is there a song still inside me? In my heart? I see life and what’s happening to me. Along the trail there are expectations, disappointments, happiness, questions and strong relationships … and now I’m able to express my feelings through melody, power and trance, together in a kaleidescope of sound, colour and friendship.” The video is just as colourful and kaleidoscopic, and mixes vintage imagery with modern technology to stunning effect.
