Things God has placed in my heart lately, PURPOSE AND IDENTITY... I am busy pondering and meditating upon the life of our Lord Jesus Christ, studying His walk, deeds and ministry in the gospel. And I realized certain things about the life of the Man, we most Christians claim to follow, Christ was not all about what most of us today are all about. Christ was all about purpose and destiny. He knew and understood the assignment, mission, divine mandate and purpose for His existence, and that is what kept Him focused and led Him to His successful leadership and won Him favor with God and with man. Yet we, who claim to know Him, follow Him and model Him; are so far away from what He was for and all about. What I see today is parallel to what He was and the example He left for us. We are so drifted away from our purpose, the reason why God created us on earth. Christ was never about fame, recognition, gathering wealth, status, and all that... IT IS NOT, NEVER WRONG TO HAVE ALL THAT. But if our pursuit of these are all that we live for, then we have missed it. I do not believe God would create us just to have such. THERE MUST BE MORE TO LIFE THAN THESE. But we are all about fame, we want to be recognized, we want to prove a point to what another. We make decisions without considering purpose and Gods will. We marry so that we may be recognized, we toil so hard to gather wealth and riches, just so that we may maintain a certain status in the society, we want to be seen, it is all about us. We associate with great people so that we may fit in certain categories, we marry beautiful wives, marry powerful men, drive classes, build mansions, work in high positions... all these not for any other reason than RECOGNIZE ME, we even use what God gave us to oppress others. Yet having all these is never wrong, they are Gods blessings, yet a mans heart and greed have turned them into weapon of mass destruction and curses upon the face of the earth. We can even split blood, commit fraud, lie, hurt others, all the evil, I AM SPEAKING ABOUT WE WHO CALL OURSELVES FOLLOWERS OF CHRIST. The lack of the knowledge of our existence and purpose has robbed us off our true identity. We are so much content in being slaves and puppets of those who self-appointed themselves masters over us, because of they realized how ignorant and lost we are about whose are we and who He created us to be. I do not believe God created me to grow up, go to school, find a good job, support my family, (oh well, repay my parents for taking care of me), drive a beautiful car, get married to a beautiful wife with hips, curves and all the delicacies there is in marriage, then die, and die empty and lonely! God is a Blesser, it is His nature, that is why it takes you to do nothing for Him to bless you. And because of that we have all of that as a bonus, the reward for fulfilling what He created us for, and that is purpose. God is all about purpose. That is what matters the most. We find ourselves in wrong relationships, wrong careers, even wrong ministries that are parallel to the vision God has about our lives. We are copy cats and counterfeits of other people. All these because we have deviated from the purpose, we lost our identity, the one found only in the Christ we claim to follow. I believe God is calling us back to purpose. There is a reason why God created us. He is sovereign, all-knowing and nothing is impossible for Him, surely He does not need us to accomplish anything; yet He decided to create us and call us to be in His position and rule over the works of His hands. His purpose was that we may live out for Him, to glorify Him in all we have; our jobs, careers, marriages, businesses, ministries, all that we have, even though it is all given by Him. What manner of love is this? GOD IS CALLING US BACK TO OUR ORIGIN, TO HIM, TO PURPOSE. THERE IS A CALL UPON HUMANITY, AND WE ARE TO HEED THE VOICE OF THE ONE WHO CALLS. There is a divine mandate, assignment, calling and purpose of God upon each of us, but how many of us are living in line with that calling? HE IS CALLING ME AND YOU... #I_AM_GENERATION: DESTINY CALLETH... WISDOM CALLETH... TO GOD BE THE GLORY!
