Things I Like. By Wes Eubanks. I like the feeling I get when my wife says I love You I like getting hugs from my son and my daughter, I like it when my Mom says I am very proud of you I like when my Dad shakes my hand, I like the smell of saddle leather, I like watching the sun rise, I like the way a full moon lights up the night. I like the look on a horses face when you scratch the right spot for them. I like vanilla ice cream, I like blue jeans, brown boots, black shirts and hats. I like when the EMT says OK weve got a pulse. I like finding my friends from back in the day and finding out they are doing well. I like Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos. I like the smile that comes to a young childs face when they see you. I like the feeling I get when I show respect to or help out an older person, I like pickup trucks, and being able to build a straight strong fence. I like it when our dog licks my face. I like old western movies where the good guy always does the right thing, never gives up and always wins. I like Louis Lamour and Tom Clancy books. I like my steak medium rare, I like Sam Adams Boston Lager beer, I like 12 year old single malt scotch whiskey. I like the feeling I get when I go on base, show my id card to the Security Forces guard and he says Thank You for your service Tsgt Eubanks. I like watching the Flag being raised in the morning and I like the way it makes me feel every time they play the National Anthem. I like being an American.
