Things I could have done this evening: 1. Go out, get drunk and act stupid. 2. Go out and chase women and/or act equally stupid. 3. Go to some foreign state and get involved in some possibly doomed political movement just to up my cool quotient. 4. Stay home alone and wallow in some weird pathetic sort of Randy Newmanish self-pity. 5. All of the above. What I did instead: Stayed home and drank a few beers with Chase Cecil, had deep intellectual, cathartic, and humorous conversations, and listened to amazing music.
