Things I did NOT do on my trip: 1. I didnt run over any furry or feathered creatures. Swerved to miss a few, but no deaths on my watch. 2. I didnt break down or run out of gas, even where the nearest town was 96 miles away. 3. I didnt see any elk, even though many yellow road signs promised I would. :( 4. I didnt sleep in a single hotel, and had only one night when I feared for my life and that was another story. 5. I didnt get arrested. 6. I didnt get lost. Youre not lost as long as you can turn around and get back on the right road. 7. I didnt catch any kind of cold or illness. 8. I didnt get homesick until I was 274 miles west of home.
