Things I’m stoked about today in no particular order: 1. My friend Shaun released a new trailer for the documentary A Fat Wreck, it rules and features a bunch of my pals: bit.ly/1rca9L9 2. “X-Men: Apocalypse” will be out in a couple years. The man with two first names, Oscar Isaac will play the villain in X-Men and hero in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.” He better not screw up because he’ll have gaggles of nerds taking him down from all corners of the Earth: bit.ly/15qVS39 3. The National are releasing a new album soon I care. You don’t like that band. Cool beans: bit.ly/1pkt3Oq 4. In other mildly interesting news, Chris Pratt is playing the lead role in the Jurassic Park (reboot?). Not sure why this movie is really nece$$ary, but whatever I’m down. I guess: bit.ly/1ydh9rt 5. The first fully authorized documentary about Kurt Cobain could be cool. I enjoyed “Kurt Cobain: About a Son” a lot. We will see how it goes: rol.st/1xYA8Y8 6. There’s a new episode of Anxious and Angry up with Al Barr of Dropkick Murphys. I haven’t listened to it, but assume it’s awesome and am going to listen to it soon: bit.ly/1zVU0Jq 7. The new Atlas Losing Grip album is incredible. I am bummed that their singer Rodrigo Alfaro has left the band. He’s a perfect fit for the band, a great vocalist and lyricist. It doesn’t make much sense because they haven’t even released their new album yet. At least Zoli toured with Pennywise a little when the record was out. It makes me sad that I’ll never get to see them live with him singing. I liked Satanic Surfers, but thought Atlas Losing Grip was a huge step up. Maybe the bright side is that perhaps he’ll have a new band so we’ll get more amazing tunes like with the Ignite Pennywise/Ignite situation: on.fb.me/1vKKk6t
