Things are really coming along at the Houghs Neck Maritime Center. The flagpole with yardarm, a new gangway, twelve new floats with new chains and new lighting have been installed. The voids have been filled and the rip rap aside the boat ramp has been repaired. Weve even done patch repairs to the parking lot. Its going to look great for the Chowdafest! Thank you so much to the Quincy Ma Police Detectives Marine Unit for all their support of this project. We have engineering complete for the installation of pilings and will have a public meeting soon for review. Now that weve spruced things up Im looking for a few neighbors to serve on the committee working on a long term strategy to regrade the boat ramp and ensure boating access continues here for the next hundred years. Any members of the @Houghs Neck Community Council or @quincy yacht club interested in helping us out?
