Things done today: --Closed on house. Many signatures. Found three typos on forms, declined to mention in interest of expediency. --Visited house. Ours now! --Argued extensively about paint choices, despite having already made decisions about paint weeks ago --Called cleaning service. --Called locksmith. --Called painter. Got voice mail. Left message. Painter failed to return call. --Discussed whether or not to keep lawn service guy. --Discussed whether or not to hire house cleaning service on permanent basis (will depend on cost; house is huge, boys not the best at cleaning even with supervision, and I work two jobs already; doubt can handle third) ---Discovered unexpected Foosball table in basement. Bonus! --Visited hardware store, spent scandalous amount of time and money, ran into former student who now runs doors and windows section --Demonstrated Magic Erase (TM) product, gently scoured away scuff marks in basement rec room, ended need to repaint, saved hundreds of dollars--go me! --Argued about paint colors some more --Reconfigured garage door opener --Tried and failed to SHUT OFF DAMN BURGLAR ALARM so it wont go beep beep! every time someone opens door or window --Ate at McDonalds--dearie, dearie me --Used newly-purchased hacksaw blade to open clamshell casing for new measuring tape and lockbox --Inserted keys into newly-purchased lockbox so cleaning service, flooring people, painter, and other service people can get into house when we arent there --Argued some more about paint colors --Explored trails around house and within subdivision --Met next door neighbor --Searched for switch to light/fan combo in living room. Failed. --Admired kitchen lighting --Played with new stove. --Went to very late supper at restaurant up road. --Drove home. V. tired.
