Things dont look the same...landscapes change when human awakening takes place and light dawns...ages come and ages go...nothing remains static as they move on through human activity and shifting of ideas. We have seen how Japan got industrialized and moved forward in Asia - we have seen even a country such as Sweden which had such agrarian social systems give way to the modern egalitarian systems that prevail currently earlier on. Such movements need to come in the Indian subcontinent...it is high time. The Euro currency has brought much unity in trade and commerce with much bouancy on the overall flow of day to day activities - such vision is lacking in our subcontinent. The politicians continue to think how they can create a stockpile of arms and ammunition when they cannot feed or provide housing or drinking water. Young and old continue to die of malnutrition and diseases related to lack of proper sanitation. Industrialization disadvantaged this region to no end slowing its progress and depriving it of its originality with a superimposed all pervading culture - so it makes sense to embrace it and give up old archaic appendages which have lost all relevance and clinging to them would cause nothing but further confusion and madness which the present day Indian social hotbed of political and social life has become. This region and other non western nations of the world as well as the distant islands need our fervent prayers more than anything else at this hour and season. PRAYER IS THE ONLY WAY.
