Things happen when youre fighting a fire that can instantly unnerve and demoralize your people. Ceilings collapse behind you, shutting you up inside an inferno. You run out of oxygen while searching for victims on the smoke flooded floors above the fire. A member of your team takes a cautious step forward and disappears as the floor disappears beneath him. At moments like these, success, survival even, seems very far away. And of course, theres no time to gather your men for a pep talk. All you can do is stay calm. Remember, the men are always watching. If they see youre not shaken by whats happening, but continue to act as if success is inevitable, then you relieve them of the need to worry and enable them to get on with doing their job. SALKA
