Things have been slowly getting better. I have been trained by traveling nurses on how to take care of Jodies foot. I surprisingly handle it without passing out or puking. The stitches were removed before we were released from the hospital. She has roughly a 4 inch long incision with about a 1/4 inch wide gap which I have to pack in treated gauze packs and then wrap her foot. Been pretty busy since we have been home. She needs help getting up and walking. I had to remodel the 1/2 bath to accommodate Jodies restrictions. Installed new flooring, handicapped high toilet and grab bars. We had just a cheap, basic and short toilet and that was a disaster waiting to happen. Gave her a sponge bath and washed her hair tonight. Swelling and redness appears to be coming down and the depth of the incision seems to be reducing. Thank you to everyone for the prayers and get well wishes. You have helped us get through this so far. Not out of the woods yet but things are looking up. God Bless all of you.
