Things seem to have slowed down a bit for me. The tragic news of a couple of days ago, and photos of a distraught Santosh Anand added to the feeling of despondency. I was reminded of this song from Aap ki Kasam. Kishore Kumar appears to have been brilliant at rendering these poignant melodies. As before, I wonder how much of his life events added to the sad chords in his throat. The lyrics by Anand Bakshi are despairing enough, the music by RDB focuses on traversing the path between our ears and tear ducts with speed.. and Kishores rendition leaves nothing else to be desired in enjoying poignancy to the limit. In passing.. I feel lucky to have visited Bermuda two weeks ago..Today, it got hammered by a category 2 Hurricane.. A British territory, 20 square miles across, composed of 180 islands, was battered by a storm which was wider than it. Bermuda today is in the dark. My thoughts go out to the friendly inhabitants there.. and I hope their damage is not too extensive. https://youtube/watch?v=tNhjRUnhwS4
