Things were a bit rough here, in Israel, lately so I couldnt post these photos which I intended to do on Canada Day for my Canadian friends: Beverlee, Jodie Goldberg Jodada, Lori Hartwick RM Bellerose Diane Bederman Shayla Gunter-Goldstein Naomi Reiter Bruni Merilee Shaw Norene Gilletz Rachel Bee Avi Dorfman and I met in Tel Aviv on Canada Day last month. It was a day after the bodies of the 3 Israeli boys who had been kidnapped and killed by terrorists were found. I took the train to Tel Aviv in order to meet Avi even though I was deeply saddened by the bad news and I am glad we met because Avi is an example of a spirit that was not broken even after being critically wounded right after he finished basic training and a rocket from Gaza fell on his base and injured him badly. I had already baked sweets with the Maple my friend Beverlee Swayze had bought for me in Canada a month earlier and intended to to post the recipes on my food page but didnt feel like doing it back then. So I brought some of the sweets to Tel Aviv with me (-: I want to try to recall good moments I had even during these difficult days.
