Think a lot of people need to do their research before the 18th of September. Too many people are voting no because theyre scared of change and dont want to take the risk, but selfishly havent actually looked into it. Change is what we need to move away from a corrupt government and to actually improve as a country. If we become independent we will have a government running us who we have voted for as a country, rather than being run by a government which England voted for. We do not stand a chance of getting what we want for our country whilst being part of the UK. Scotland could become one of the wealthiest small countries in the world due to our vast income from sources such as whiskey, oil, fisheries and tourism (which is a biggie that a lot of people seem to overlook). At the moment Westminster are wasting the money from these sources to build things in London which affect very few of us up in Scotland. If we were independent our income could go towards improving things like our education systems, disability allowances and our healthcare. If we stay in the UK theres a good chance our healthcare will be privatised, tuition fees could come into play for students, we may continue paying the ridiculous bedroom tax and thousands of children will continue to live in poverty. People who are voting no just because they feel that theyre doing well enough at the moment to vote for change are being selfish. When voting you need to think of the bigger picture. Voting no because youre comfortable means voting to keep thousands of people under westminster rule, who will probably make things only worse for them if UKIP get elected, or the Conservatives stay in power. If you have perfectly valid reasons for voting no then this does not apply to you, but there are a lot of people who need to do some thinking and some research before they make a decision. If youre voting no because you are too scared of change or whats ifs, and havent actually done your research, then youre being rather selfish and are just as bad as the biased, patriotic people who are only voting yes because they hate England. This is too big a decision to just vote no for the sake of it or because you cant be bothered doing any research.
