Think about how extremely innovative we are and what our thoughts are capable of doing as a human race plunged into this existence. We naturally desire power, control, and new things. Our mind is so powerful, and yet so dangerous. This flesh and finite conscience of ours, despite being as potentially powerful as it is, has been contaminated with the disease called, sin. Thats why we are capable of doing great evils. We dont just lust for power and control, we lust for Gods position. We lust for everything that is and everything that could be. The flesh could honestly never get enough and be satisfied.. Such is the result of our fallen human condition. For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing.. (Rom. 7:18.) Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry. (Colossians 3:5) For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. (1 John 2:16) But Creator God Himself recognized our depravity and demonically controlled state, that He took the initiative to save us from our folly and error, and ultimately from His wrath. He gave up His only son, Jesus Christ of Nazareth for us that we can no longer walked condemned and hopeless. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16.) For the wages of sin [is] death; but the gift of God [is] eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (Rom. 6:23) For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. (Rom. 10:13) Do you know Jesus?
