Think about this: God wouldn’t have designed your body to need - TopicsExpress

Think about this: God wouldn’t have designed your body to need physical exercise and then at the same time intend for exercise to be the most grueling, not fun thing to do. Ok, so sometimes it isnt fun, but we are pushing ourselves to be better at something, right? ;) its really worth it! :) God knows we’re all shaped differently, so there are a ton of different types of exercise for each and every one of us to do! Even if you dont think there is, there is, trust me. Soooo many different kinds! Personally my fav is the kettle bell, but they may not be for you, and thats ok. As long as you are doing something! :) The best exercise is the one that you will actually do because you enjoy it. So what do you love? What sounds like fun? Ask God to show you what it is, and give it a try, even if it takes you out of your comfort zone. Its not always fun stepping out of our comfort zone, but try it. :) Galatians 5:22 says, “But what happens when we live Gods way? .... We develop a willingness to stick with things, a sense of compassion in the heart, and a conviction that a basic holiness permeates things and people. We find ourselves involved in loyal commitments, not needing to force our way in life, able to marshal and direct our energies wisely” (MSG). Here’s a good place to start: Move toward joy. If you think of exercise as drudgery, as an “ought to” in your life, your motivation disappears. If you “direct your energies wisely” and do something you enjoy, something you “get to” do, you’ll find that motivation just flows. Check out Trinity Fitness for some help in this area, not only are the people super awesome there, its a Christian place who will encourage you the way you need to be and not be mean about it or yelling in your face. If you dont understand a certain way to do something, they show you, but not in a way to make you feel dumb. They care about you. Check em out, you wont be disappointed. Plus some classes are at New Life... :)
