Think about this very seriously: Most of the time, real Prophets of God were not readily accepted into the homes of those to whom they were sent to until those they were sent to were going through some sort of tragic event, and it wasnt until that person to whom they were sent had no other choice but to listen to the Prophet of God, or else they would die. This scripture passage explains exactly what has been already stated: 1 Kings 17:7-16 And it came to pass after a while, that the brook dried up, because there was no rain in the land. And the word of Jehovah came unto him, saying, Arise, get thee to Zarephath, which belonged to Sidon, and dwell there: behold, I have commanded a widow there to sustain thee. So he arose and went to Zarephath; and when he came to the gate of the city, behold, a widow was there gathering sticks: and he called to her, and said, Fetch me, I pray thee, a little water in a vessel, that I may drink. And as she was going to fetch it, he called to her, and said, Bring me, I pray thee, a morsel of bread in thy hand. And she said, As Jehovah thy God lives, I have not a cake, but a handful of meal in the jar, and a little oil in the cruse: and, behold, I am gathering two sticks, that I may go in and dress it for me and my son, that we may eat it, and die. And Elijah said unto her, Fear not; go and do as thou hast said; but make me thereof a little cake first, and bring it forth unto me, and afterward make for thee and for thy son. For thus saith Jehovah, the God of Israel, The jar of meal shall not waste, neither shall the cruse of oil fail, until the day that Jehovah sends rain upon the earth. And she went and did according to the saying of Elijah: and she, and he, and her house, did eat many days. The jar of meal wasted not, neither did the cruse of oil fail, according to the word of Jehovah, which he spake by Elijah. With this in mind, do you REALLY want to resist what a REAL Prophet of God speaks into your life, when it could very well mean the difference between life and death? Do you REALLY want to take the risk of putting yourself in the path of death by disobeying that which a REAL Prophet speaks to you that is DIRECTLY from God, even if it doesnt sound pleasing to your soul? This is a VERY serious topic, Body of Christ, and if you consider yourself to be a mature Believer in Jesus, then you shouldnt have an issue with receiving things from REAL Prophets that dont sound good, but are indeed VERY good, because whatever it is that God is speaking through His REAL Prophets is from Him! Do you REALLY think that youre going to convince God that the American dream is really worth living for, when He already knows that the American dream is nothing but selfishness and idolatry, and when REAL Prophets speak against the American dream, you get angry at them? I realize this may not apply to all who read this status update, but Im wagering there are those that it does apply to.
