Think about what gives you a sense of peace. It may be an outdoor setting that makes you feel in touch with nature, such as a garden or the beach. You may find that art stills your mind, so the silence of a museum is comforting to you. Or perhaps music acts as a filter for the sounds of the world, creating beauty that gives you comfort. There may even be a particular room in your home or in a building that is dedicated to spiritual pursuits and allows you to experience stillness and contentment. Wherever your spirit leads you today, allow yourself to fully experience the peace and tranquility within. We may find ourselves in the midst of activity for much of the day, making it difficult to separate ourselves. In that case, we can find a symbol to remind us of a peaceful place to allow our thoughts to take us there. Perhaps a flower or a stone will remind us of a garden, a shell could give us a chance to listen to the ocean, or a photograph or representation of art can take us to another place. In the space of a deep breath, we can shift our thoughts to imagine a place that brings us peace and feel it within us. However you can today, find a way to enjoy the timelessness of peace and tranquility, whether for a moment or for the day.
