Think it is a bad move on the part of the government to reject the proposal of the South Western railways to double the existing line from Londa to Vasco Da gama.This is primarily because the state could have launched a service similar to the railway system prevalent in Mumbai wherein a couple of wagons could be used to shuttle between Sanvordem to Vasco every 2 hours.This would not only result in huge benefit with regards to reduction in pollution but also huge savings for the government and the people of the state as there would be a significant reduction in petrol consumed.Also it would benefit traders to bring in food stuff like vegetables, rice etc at a cheaper rate thereby reducing the burden of fellow goans....Anyway given the number of U- turns we have seen in the past year i am praying that the CM does one on this too.:-)
