Think of flu think beyond you - staff continue to show their support for this year’s flu campaign by taking up the opportunity to be vaccinated early into the campaign. This puts the trust in a very strong position to protect our staff, patients and their families this winter. The trust’s national target of 75% of healthcare workers vaccinated is now in reach as already 65.9% of staff have been vaccinated within the first five weeks of the campaign. On behalf of the board, the occupational health team and all our flu champions, a huge thank you to staff for coming forward to have their vaccine early. Achieved 65.9% - 5127 healthcare workers vaccinated to date • Doctors: 608 (85.3%) • Nurses, midwives and health visitors: 1,648 (57.8%) • Other professionally qualified: 660 (58%) • Support to clinic staff: 2,211 (69.9%) Don’t put off getting your flu jab - ask your GP or pharmacist.
