Think of the reward obtained by those who do their best to look - TopicsExpress

Think of the reward obtained by those who do their best to look after the needs of the families of Muslim prisoners. Many of our brothers and sisters who are in prison today are only there for being outspoken and influential Muslims. In addition to this, those who have convicted them, from judges to juries, identify many prisoners as supporters of so-called terrorism, enemy combatants or threats, in effect, imprisoning them as they would a captured soldier from an enemy force. Whatever the charge or alleged reason for conviction, our imprisoned brothers and sisters are now fighting the battles of all Muslims in courtrooms and from jail cells. Whatever rights are usurped from them are taken from us all and whatever legal victories they achieve are for the benefit of all Muslims. Their patience in the face of injustice is no less than the patience of a fighter in the trenches. The Prophet, peace and blessing of Allah be upon him, said: He who equips a fighter, then he has fought too; and he who looks after the family of a fighter, then he has fought too. An-Nawawi said looking after the family of a fighter includes fulfilling a need, spending on them, or helping them in some matter. Please support Muslim prisoner groups and donate generously to projects working to alleviate the suffering of the families of prisoners and those affected by unjust wars like those in Syria, Mali, Somalia, the Caucasus, Iraq, Afghanistan, Kashmir, Bangsamoro, western China, and the war being fought against Islam and Muslims in the US, UK and the West.
