Thinking about being smart vs being intelligent. Being intelligent is the accumulation of a massive number of facts. Being smart is being aware of a small number of facts in a given situation (job, business, etc) and being able to manipulate those facts for the outcome they want. There are a LOT of intelligent people who fail. There are other people who many would consider dumb as a sackful of hammers who have become successful by using the facts of their own situations for a positive outcome. Do not be intimidated or feel less than you should by comparing yourself with someone who strikes you as intelligent. Everyone has their share of smarts - we all just need to find the right situation to apply those smarts.
