Thinking about the nature of Fibromyalgia and how pain signals are - TopicsExpress

Thinking about the nature of Fibromyalgia and how pain signals are processed in the #brain. I had a thought I would like to record here. As I really like bugging you all with strange posts like this. I suffer from that affliction. Normal pain relievers basically, for me, do squat for it but movement or a shot of whiskey will nail it every time. We know that the processing in the brain somehow mis-processes and the fibro flair will begin following in the tracts of some other condition (usually an autoimmune). This processing would be centralized to the part of the brain where the rest of the body would be initially connected. (Omitting strange brain part names) So, how does movement help? I surmise that movement gives that part of the brain something else to do, in whole or in part, masking that fibro processing. I figured that anything else that would occupy that area would also help. Music can activate this area as there is a direct relationship between motion (dance) and music. With that, I give you Tubular Bells. A rather complex arrangement. This will not work for regular thin or thick bundle (normal) pain but for those fibro-suffers .... See if there is a type of music that works for you when you have a flair and how effective it is.
