Thinking and feeling are so closely interconnected with each other that people seldom think without feeling or feel without thinking. What happens during the process of thinking and feeling? According to ancient teachings and also based on the clairvoyant investigations of Annie Besant and C.W. Leadbeater, there are two phenomena that take place: 1. You create a thought form, because when a person is thinking, a form made up of energy is produced. This thought form can be either positive or negative, depending on the thoughts or emotions of a person. 2. You produce a psychic radiatory field, just like a television- transmitting tower which sends out or radiates signals. In this manner, when you think of something, you radiate an energy field. This psychic radiatory field is also made up of mental, emotional and etheric substances. A thought form contains the exact content if your thoughts and emotions while a psychic radiatory field contains the quality of your thoughts and emotions. Besides being subjected to attacks from various thought forms, one can be contaminated by dirty or unwholesome mental, emotional and psychic radiatory fields, which is called psychic contamination. One should be aware of the different psychic energy fields being radiated by different cities or even different countries. In some megacities, people are always in a hurry, always on the move and very aggressive. Their energy fields are basically characterised by aggressiveness and fast- paced activities. Therefore, whether you like it or not, if you were in such a city, you will become affected by its energy field in just a matter of hours or days. Many times we have to live with a pessimistic or depressive relative, the constant negative emission can contaminate you. Constant parental quarrelling and undesirable peers can have adverse psychological effects on youngsters too. So psychic or psychological contamination can take place in several ways.
