Thinking of adding Dorpers to my operation. basically for meat lambs but could also use them for making Dorper breeding stock. Also thought I could always buy a Polypay Ram to breed to the Dorpers for making recip ewes to sell. anybody have any experiences with Dorpers? always admired the Dorpers for how muscular, thick and productive they look. Not real crazy about Katadins kinda ugly if you ask me but have heard they are very productive. as always the show lamb flock is staying but want to keep their numbers where they are currently under 120 show lamb flock but want to have about another 100 head of production sheep of some sort. even thought of making my own cross.
