Thinking of my Dad this morning. The duty of a man it is not optional, its an obligation. A father MUST accept his personal duty to GOD. Read Romans 14:12 and Ecclesiastes 12:13. Fathers cannot fulfill their duties if they leave GOD out because GOD is the originator, the designer of the home, having brought it into existence with a Great purpose. Timothy 5:18 says:But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he has denied his faith, and is WORSE than an infidel. GODS word teaches the father has a duty, what that duty is, and how serious a matter it is. The Bible is the best handbook on how to be a Good Father and there are also consequences of failing to be a Good one. Read about Eli, Samuel, Lot, and David with connection with his son Absalom.
