Thinking of my father today: back when I was young, I remember we needed to build a new shed. Those were the days before stores like Home Depot or Lowes, and often you didnt run out and buy brand new lumber -- it was expensive, so folks would often reuse materials that others in the community no longer needed. That summer, Daddy and I used the boards from an old abandoned barn - pulling them down one by one, ripping out the nails, even taking off the tin and straightening it to reuse. Then we hauled it back to the house and built the shed together. I stood there and handed him every nail that went into that shed. Grateful that he always wanted me there with him, and that he was always there for me. What are you most grateful for about your dad?
