Thinking of my grandmother who will be transferred to a nursing home tomorrow. She has spent 84 years as an independent, dignified lady. The past few years have taken their toll and Alzheimers along with many other medical conditions have robbed her of her independence. I can only pray that this transition will not be too hard on her. Thanks mom for taking such great care of Nan for the past 5 years, you went above and beyond the call of duty. I wish I could have been more of a help to you. You must also transition back into having your own life. These changes are tough, but necessary. Time, disease nor age has robbed Nan of her beauty, inward and outward. She will get the care she needs and adapt to this new chapter in her life as she has so many times before this. Love you Nan. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
