Thinking on; and/or about; our national insecurity. I wish to tell you a story that I know is not unique. Recently, I tried to buy iMatch and expand my Apple iCloud space to store all of my files. What came back to me was scrambled songs, mismatched music under the wrong songs, horribly distorted pictures, and all sorts of written files that were merged as to completely render them useless. Thank God I had my works, music and art on several computers which haven’t had their aerial turned on for years. Thank God I was able to restore the most meaningful data that mattered to me, because for sure Carbonite, iCloud, iMatch, and all the rest, don’t have a clue about how things can get corrupted. And this brings me to the real issue. What if our government is just as vulnerable to happenings of this sort as we are as individuals? Please think about it and pray for our ass, because I have a hunch that Uncle Sam is no brighter than the average light bulb, and someone or something out there has the ability to cut the power any old time it wants. Whether you are guilty of being at home in your pajamas, or up to ‘no good’ making a bomb for the Whitehouse, may just be the result of a sun flare or some hacker who decides to mess with us like that scene in “Once Upon a Time in America” when they switched all the babies, and no one got their own child back. I’m just saying. Think about it. There’s lots of willingness to have lots of faith and damn little critical thinking going on about how much we know nothing about anything.
