Thinking on these things: 1. Im married to one wife as per Gods - TopicsExpress

Thinking on these things: 1. Im married to one wife as per Gods original design. I wonder why atheists get married at all (for those who do) and why the majority of them only marry one spouse. Its one thing to deny Gods existence. Its another to simultaneously thrive on His life formulae. 2. I currently sleep on the right side of my marital bed. It would not make sense for me to force all my married friends to follow suit, would it? 3. My wedding anniversary is on the 21st of March. Id think you were raving mad if you seriously pleaded with me to reschedule it to any of the other 364.25 days in the year. 4. I hate cutting up cabbage. However, when my wife asks me to help prepare it, I usually melt and do it, hating it all the while. Anyone else who wants to assign me to chop up some cabbage is inviting my full ire. ... Like my good friend, Darrell (the Preacher Man) testified earlier this week on one of my FB status updates, God only makes sense in the CONTEXT of a meaningful relationship with Him. Thats why it makes sense NOT to have any other gods before Him. God commands me, in the context of that relationship we have, to put Him first in all that I do. He then promises to add all the other things that He knows I need. If you dont have a relationship with Him, wouldnt it be preposterous to put Him first? That is, when some of us profess to have a relationship with God BUT we put Him last, our putting Him last speaks volumes louder than our lying witness that we relate to God personally. God commands me, in the context of my relationship with Him as my Creator, to remember to keep the Sabbath day holy. He then defined and stipulated when that day is: the seventh and last day of the week (a day popularly known as Saturday). Just as my anniversary cannot be on any day except March 21, and just as I cant be forced to shift the anniversary date, so do folk who observe the Sabbath on some other day they choose show that they are married to another god before Jehovah. Each one keeps his or her anniversary on the DATE commemorating the day of ones wedding. I have a sinful, diseased nature. God is holy and pure. That combination is an inherent disaster because God becomes a consuming fire in the presence of sin. However, He became sin for me so that I might become His righteousness. While I abhor practising holiness and purity, I admire receiving holy and pure treatment from both God and fellow humans. As the Bible so aptly puts it, the love of Christ constrains me; His commandments are not burdensome. Why so? The Heritage Singers respond: Because of Love... HIS love. To a meaningful relationship with God. SEVEN!
