Third Arrest Made in Shooting at Freedom Way Apartment On Thursday, November 6, 2014 Worcester police arrested 21-year-old Adam McNeil of Worcester in connection with the shooting at a Freedom Way Apartment that occurred last month. On Sunday, October 5, 2014 at approximately 3:30 AM Worcester police were dispatched to an apartment on Freedom Way for a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located a crime scene. Two shooting victims were transported to the hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries. During the investigation, officers were able to identify the suspects involved in the shooting. Worcester Police obtained a warrant for the arrest of Adam McNeil. This is the third arrest made in connection with this shooting. Adam McNiel, 21, of 1004 Main Street was charged with Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon, Armed Assault to Murder, Discharging a Firearm within 500 Feet of a Dwelling, Use of Firearm in a Felony, Carrying a Firearm without a License, Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a License, and Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card. Original Press Release Two Males Shot During After Hour Party on Freedom Way Worcester, MA (October 5, 2014) - On Sunday, October 5, 2014 at approximately 3:28 AM, Worcester Police responded to a Freedom Way apartment for a report of several gunshots fired. Responding officers were informed that two males were shot. Arriving officers observed several people at the scene including young children. Officers observed bullet holes inside the apartment walls along with a trail of blood. One officer responding to the scene was flagged down by a motorist. The operator of the vehicle stated that one of the shooting victims was in the car and that they were heading to the hospital. The officer escorted the vehicle to nearby U-Mass Medical Center (university campus). The second shooting victim was transported to the hospital by another vehicle and was already at the emergency room. WPD investigators responded to the scene. Detectives interviewed witnesses. The Crime Scene Unit arrived and processed the scene. According to the preliminary investigation, the occupant of the apartment was hosting an after hours party. There were several people within the apartment. The children at the scene reside in the apartment and were upstairs sleeping during the incident. During the party a knock on the front door was heard. The two victims answered the door. There were approximately 3 suspects wearing all black clothing with hoods pulled up and covering their faces. The suspects fired several shots at the two males. Several rounds entered the apartment but no one inside was hit. Both males received non-life threatening injuries. This investigation is ongoing. Juan Franco, 19, of 5 Montague Street, Worcester was charged with Discharging a Firearm within 500 Feet of a Dwelling, Two Counts of Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon, Two Counts of Armed Assault to Murder, Two Counts of use of a Firearm during the Commission of a Felony, Carrying a Firearm without a License, Two Counts of Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a License, Two Counts of Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card. Mr. Franco also had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. Xabiel Alexander Feliciano, 19, of 96 Fairmont Avenue, Apartment 1, Worcester was charged with Discharging a Firearm within 500 Feet of a Dwelling, Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon, Armed Assault to Murder, Use of Firearm during the Commission of a Felony, Carrying a Firearm without a License, Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a License, and Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card.
