Thirteen years ago today I was sitting in a kindergarten classroom, most likely coloring a picture, when the principal came over the intercom to announce the the World Trade Center had just been attacked by terrorists. At that point in my life, I didnt really grasp the severity of the situation, I didnt understand terrorism or why the buildings were attacked. But to this day I will never understand how there can be so many people in this world that lack human decency and morals, that murder without a blink of an eye. Looking at the footage from 2001 is still scary to me. But it also makes me feel very driven to show the world that kindness and respect can go a long way, and that even though it has its flaws, America is truly the best place to live. We carry on. We dont care what brings us down. RIP Victims of 9/11, and thoughts to the families on this haunting and tragic day. #neverforget
