Thirteen years ago today, our way of life changed dramatically. Being 7 years old at the time, i couldnt fully grasp the significance of the events that occurred on that day. I remember my dad picking me up from school and watching the news to relive those horrific events as we waited for my mom to get home from being on stand by at the hospital she worked at. I remember her coming home and being glad she was back. Cause dispite being young, i knew some peoples parents werent coming back that night. Over 3000 lives were taken, thats 3000 familys who didnt have a family member come home. I learned on that day to be thankful for every moment you have on this earth and be thankful for every thing you have. It can all be taken away in an instant. Tall your parents, brother, sister, who ever that you love them today. There was a lot of people that didnt get to do that on that morning thirteen years ago. And never forget those innocent people who lost their lives during the horrific events on that day.
