Thirty - Second Sunday in Ordinary Time November 10, 2013 We might ask ourselves why the readings today highlight the theme of the resurrection. This is because we are drawing near to the end of the liturgical year. The readings for the next few weeks will touch on the end times and the coming of our Savior. All the readings today, from the Book of Maccabees and the letter of Saint Paul to the Thessalonians as well as the Gospel of Saint Luke, repeat the same theme. we must live with hope because our God is the God of the living and not of the dead. We walk toward him throughout life. It would be a good idea for the assembly to compare the changes in the liturgy with the changes in nature of changes in the community. Maybe the pastor can remind them of things they’ve accomplished this year, encouraging them to give thanks to God for his goodness in the lives of all. Rev. Juan J. Sosa
