Thirty-five students competed in the Skills USA competition last weekend, nineteen earned medals. First place Gold winners will continue on to the National Leadership and Skills competition in Kansas City, June 23-27, 2014. Congratulations to our students! On Monday, President Dastmozd attended the Complete the Dream event. Complete the Dream is a capstone event that brought together community colleges from across Minnesota, demonstrating student commitment to finish their education. The event was organized by Minn-Kota region of Phi Theta Kappa. Everyone assembled here at the College theatre and then marched to the Capitol Building Rotunda where the program took place. On Tuesday, President Dastmozd hosted a Trade’s Union Leadership Luncheon meeting. It was well attended with active participation and constructive dialog. Wednesday President Dastmozd attended a Student Life General Assembly meeting. Thursday the College learned that on Wednesday the House passed the omnibus bonding bill, which means the College’s projects are alive and moving forward. Thank you legislatures we appreciate your support! Thursday afternoon he left for American Association of Community Colleges (AACC) spring meeting in Washington D.C. and will return to the College on Monday.
