Thirty four years ago the Panorama Fire broke out around Panorama Point and became the most destructive fire in Southern California at the time. I just happened to be in the right place at the right time to capture this amazing week. I also had a visionary Chief, Duane Mellinger, that allowed me the time (16 weeks) to assemble and edit this program that aired on PBS a number of times over the years. This was the first program I had ever attempted on this scale.
