Thirty-one years ago today was the last day I woke as a bachelor. After that day was over my life has never been the same. Nine months earlier I met my future wife on a blind date setup by my older sister. I can still remember Cheryl telling me about her, about what a sweet person with a great personality and how she would be a perfect match for me. Yeah right, WARNING SIGN, great personality usually means something else! But man was I surprised. For me it was love at first sight. I knew on our first date Vicki was the one, my lifelong soul mate. For Vicki well not so much.I was like what? You DONT like me? You dont like the type of person I am? Ahh... A challenge. She didnt like clubbing, she didnt like loud Roc and Roll, she didnt like almost everything I did BUT! She did like my cooking! Seems all was going south until I took her home for a home made (DavyLee-Style) dinner. Thats where she decided I wasnt so bad after all. Heck a man that can cook, a gentleman who opened doors and ALWAYS put her first. Vicki, Weve lived all over this country. From the shores of the Pacific to the shores of the Atlantic. From the Northwoods of WI to the swamps of FL. Youve blessed us with two wonderfully awesome children that have grown to be our pride and joy. Thank you. I admit I love you more today than any of the other days in the 31 years weve been married. You are first and foremost my best friend, my wife, my confidant and my lover. I know for a fact the way I was living my life, the streets I ran when I was single I would never have seen my thirtieth birthday. Thank you for giving me so many reason to have changed and enjoy life. It has been one hell of a ride (so far!)... With all my love I look forward to how ever many years left on this planet as long as you are by my side. I loved you yesterday as I love you today but tomorrow I will love you even more!!!
