Thirty-six years ago, Vickie woke me up from a sound sleep around 4 AM and told me it was time. I fumbled around and she said, We have to go NOW! We bundled up fourteen month old Julie, and called Phil and Bonnie Bennett and said we were dropping Julie off on the way to the St. Marys Hospital. We checked in and I went off to get the newspaper. I had just sat down when a nurse threw a hospital gown at me and said, If you want to see this baby born you have to come right now. I said, Really! And she said, Really. Jana Johnston came into this world thirteen minutes after we got to the hospital. I am sure glad she is my daughter! Happy Birthday Jana! I love you and love that you are my still my baby girl!
