#ThirtyoneChallenge: Day 31 A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies. Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value. She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life. (Proverbs 31:10-12 NIV) Women of noble character DO exist today! However, with the influence of movie stars, musical artists, media coverage, and poor role models, many women fall short of being a virtuous, noble woman. Too many young ladies focus on how well they can twirk and gyrate.....becoming independent.....and so many unimportant concerns. When a man and a woman marry, they become one. She need not have the Im an independent woman attitude or she has sabotaged her marriage from the start! How can you be one and independent simultaneously? You cant! As they get older, the gyrating stops, and the twirking is exchanged for popping and cracking.....of joints and bones! We need the older, wiser, maturer women of God to step up and be positive examples for young women. How else will they learn if they have no teacher? Step up to the plate ladies before the younger generation strike out! Proverbs 31 shows Gods model of a wife, and her character. As you read, do a mental and spiritual checklist of yourself. Are you the opposite of any of these things? If so, seek Gods wisdom and strength to guide you to becoming the Proverbs 31 wife! He who finds a wife finds what is good and receives favor from the Lord. (Proverbs 18:22 NIV) Likewise, teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live, not to be slanderers or addicted to much wine, but to teach what is good. Then they can urge the younger women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God. (Titus 2:3-5 NIV)
